Adult, Child, Infant CPR and AED (AHA offered)
Upon completion of this course, participants will know how recognize an emergency, how to assess an unconscious, unresponsive person, determine when to call 911 and when to start CPR. The course provides comprehensive, instructor lead, hands-on skills training for performing CPR on adults, children and infants, as well as training in the proper use of an AED. Rescue breathing and dealing with an obstructed airway (choking), will also be covered. Personal safety of the rescuer, disease transmission precautions will also be discussed. Classes run approximately 2.5 to 3 hours.
Basic First Aid (AHA offered)
This program provides the bystander or victim with minimal or no medical equipment to access and begin initial care for a person who has been injured. This class covers first aid for both children and adults. It is recommended for teams in business and industry, school bus drivers, childcare workers, teachers, parents, babysitters and anyone who desires to help in an emergency. The course included instructor lead, hands-on skills practice. Classes run approximately 3 hours.
Bloodborne Pathogens (AHA offered)
This course meets OSHA guidelines and meant for anyone with a reasonable chance of coming into contact with bloodborne pathogens. Ideal for healthcare workers, childcare workers, tattoo artists, health & fitness staff, security guards, law enforcement, fire service, hotel housekeeping, school personnel, home aids, etc. This course is offered for groups of 6 or more. Pet First Aid & CPR (ASHI)
This course will teach you the correct way to handle, restrain and treat pets who become ill, injured, or are in need of resuscitation or emergency medical care. What to include in a pet first aid kit. Hands-on skills training for performing CPR and rescue breathing on your dog or cat. The course fee includes a student handbook and certification card.
